The current phase of the national Human Rights in Healthcare project is drawing to a close. During this phase, four pilot NHS Trusts have been testing a human rights approach in specific services such as day care and residential services for people with a learning disability, palliative care, residential care for older people and respite care. This learning event, jointly hosted by BIHR and the Department of Health, will share the learning from this phase of the project, and will be an opportunity for delegates to:
- Find out more about human rights, their application to healthcare and the Human Rights in Healthcare project
- Hear from the pilot NHS Trusts involved in the project about how they have been applying human rights in practice
- Share learning and good practice on human rights
- Discuss how human rights can be further embedded in health and social care practice
