Open Course Booking Enquiry: Advocacy
Thank you for your interest in this BIHR Open Course: A Practical Introduction to the Human Rights Act 1998 in Advocacy Work
The deadline for booking enquiries for this course is 4pm on Wednesday 23 September. Please scroll down to find the booking enquiry form.
This 3-part online training course is designed for statutory and independent advocacy workers across the UK.
With Advocacy Awareness Week taking place on 23rd – 27th November 2026, it is an important time for independent and statutory advocates to equip themselves with tools that they can use to empower and embolden the people they support. The Human Rights Act 1998 gives us all human rights that matter to our everyday lives, but they are particularly important to those in vulnerable situations, who rely on public services every day, and may struggle to have their voices heard.
We are delighted to be re-running our 3-part advocacy training course this autumn in the run-up to Advocacy Awareness Week 2026.
To complete this form, you’ll need to be someone within your organisation who has the authority to book a training course and/or has support from a relevant senior leader. This is not open to individuals paying for themselves.
Once we have received your booking enquiry, we will be in touch to check suitability and confirm details. If we confirm your booking, you will be asked to formally register workshop places via Ticket Tailor and make arrangements for payment. Registration and payment will need to be completed no less than 4 weeks before the first workshop.
If you have any questions about this course, or this form is not accessible to you, please get in touch with BIHR at training@bihr.org.uk.
