Hopscotch Women's Centre
Hopscotch Women's Centre are based in Camden, London and provide a range of services to empower, support and advocate for women. They specialise in working with women from Black and minoritised ethnic backgrounds. In particular, they work with hard-to-reach communities, women with multiple barriers and women with multiple and complex needs, providing a wraparound service, trauma-informed service. They also provide care at home through their homecare service.
Hopscotch worked with BIHR Human Rights Officer Katrin to support staff and people accessing services be more confident in using human rights.
What we made
A guide supporting staff to find out more about:
what human rights are and how they are protected;
how the Human Rights Act works;
human rights most relevant to the work of Hopscotch Women's Centre;
people’s real-life stories; and
how to raise a human rights issue, including example letters.
The impact of this guide
